Luis I. Salazar, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his residency in Family Practice at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, where he obtained additional training in the fields of internal medicine, psychiatry and psychology, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics and community and adolescent medicine.Dr. Salazar has also practiced immediate care medicine, and has been on staff at the Lake County Health Department. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice. He is past delegate to the Illinois State Medical Society and the Lake County Medical Society. Dr. Salazar is on staff at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, and Vista Medical Center.In his free time, Dr. Salazar enjoys reading a wide array of historical and political subjects. He is fond of eating red hots, lemonheads, swimming, biking and listening to improvisational jazz.
Rosalva Acosta, P.A.-C., earned her physician assistant certificate at the Western University of Health Sciences. She completed her bachelor’s degree in biology at California State University, Fresno. Rosalva is certified in both Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She has training in primary care, pediatrics and gynecology, and is an active member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Illinois Association of Physician Assistants. In her spare time, Rosalva enjoys spending time with her family.
Caitlin Chandran APN, FNP-BC earned her Advanced Practice Nurse degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University. Caitlin received the majority of her training in a Family Practice setting. Her background in nursing has allowed her to take what she considers a special approach to providing patient care: holistic care, emphasis on listening, involving the patient in their medical care and decision making, and overall focus on preventive medicine. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and extended family. She loves cooking, gardening, watching movies, Christmas, and football season- “Go Denver Broncos!”
Emily Gebhardt PA-C earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She was trained in several areas of primary care such as family medicine, pediatrics, and women’s health, in addition to specialty areas including psychiatry and surgery. Her training included an international medicine rotation in Yantalo, Peru as well. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her undergraduate education, earning her Bachelor’s degree in biology. Along with college courses, Emily learned Spanish when she lived in Spain for a semester taking classes in Spanish and living with a host family. In her free time, Emily likes to travel, dance, cheer for the Packers and Badgers, and spend time with her friends and family.
Ksenia Samvel, P.A.-C., completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Pan American (UTPA). Upon completing high school as a junior, Ksenia transitioned into UTPA where she earned the distinguished honor of graduating with degree in Bachelor of Science Biology, Cum Laude and a Minor in Chemistry. During Physician Assistant program Ksenia completed extensive training in Internal Medicine. Since graduating, Ksenia has worked in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Ksenia is certified in Advanced and Basic Cardiac Life support. She speaks Russian, English and Spanish languages. Outside of work, Ksenia enjoys time with her family, playing with her two dogs, and touring the Midwest.
